Okanagan Mainline District Council of the Canadian Union of Public Employees has been formed to:
- Improve the social and economic well being of all of its members;
- Promote equality for all members and to oppose all types of harassment and discrimination
- Promote the efficiency of public services; and express its belief in the unity of organized labour
